Death, Where Is Thy Sting?

On Sunday 5th March 2023, The Citizens of The Haven and those who had attended our thanksgiving gathering were empowered by the praise impact, the fellowship and atmosphere of the saints along with an undiluted Word given onto us from our Serving Senior Pastor: Apostle John Enumah. It was our: 'Anointing For Life' programme.

An insightful Word titled: Death Where Is Your Sting?

The scriptural text we were given is: 1 Corinthians 15:50-58:

'Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Apostle made reference to 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (MESSAGE TRANSLATION)

'Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending,

slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. 1. Evil desire and evil thoughts

2. The conception of sin

3. Sin is born

4. The growth of sin

5. Produces death

Heavenly Father, as I begin to pray, Oh Lord, help me to apply faith that would shape up my reality; every spoken Word concerning my life in this month of March, let it come alive in me and shape up my reality in Jesus' name!

Heavenly Father, as in begin to pray, Oh Lord, the faith that guarantees absolute victory, let that faith come alive in me in the name of Jesus!

Heavenly Father, as in begin to pray, Oh Lord, whatever covenant I have entered by mistake, it is broken and may the true financial blessings for my life that You have designed for me reach me in the name of Jesus!

Heavenly Father, as I begin to pray, Oh Lord, I receive the evidence of victory, in every aspect of my life, I begin to walk with and in evidence of victory in the name of Jesus!
