Focus word : THE BLESSINGS OF THE FATHER !

With scriptural text for the month of February - Deuteronomy 28: Apostle John Enumah placed emphasise on chapter 8 "The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee." We learnt that life comes with three levels of crisis or seasons of battles in a man's life.

Crisis - can be define as a time of intense difficulty or intense danger. 

Blessing - can be define as favour and protection when we say GOD'S favour.

We all know the story of Job in the bible and how God blessed and restored Job - Job 10:1 - "Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land." Blessings; when it is supernaturally given to a man it is God's hedge of protection and favour that is built around a man. Blessings come with God's preservation, favour and protection. Satan thought the only reason Job served God was because of the hedge of protection that was around him, but we later learn in the book of Job that this was not so and God removed the hedge of protection from Job who was tried and tested. Job 1:12 - "But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face and the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand."

Apostle reminded us that as children of God everything we go through never catches God unaware - He is intentional about us and no one can touch God's children without His permission. There are seasons we go through in life that no pastor can pray us out of because God has divinely mandated that we go through such for the glorious destiny that is ahead. Matthew 26:39 - "And He went a little farther, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt.” The word tells us about the prayer Jesus prayed before his time of crucifixion came.

THREE TYPE OF LIFE CRISIS IN A MAN'S LIFE:

EARLY LIFE CRISIS - goes beyond your choice, it chooses you - it can be by blood or situations in life. Moses experienced this crisis in Exodus 2:3-4 - " But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile , his sister stood at a distance to see what would happen to him." 

MID- LIFE CRISIS - where you started life so well and at some point in life everything that can go bad and wrong goes wrong and bad.

LATER LIFE CRISIS - coming to terms with successes and failures of life. The blessings of God came on Abraham in his late life crisis, something that his own riches could not buy. Genesis 21:2 - "For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him."

Some people will experience one of these three crisis' or all of them. Although a man may go through these crisis' something that is consistent with this three life crisis is 'blessings' whether it’s early life crisis, mid or late life crisis we need the blessings of God. There are THREE TYPES OF BLESSINGS that a must solicit:

1. THE BLESSINGS OF GOD - Proverbs 10:22 - "The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it."

2. THE ANGELIC BLESSINGS - Jude 1:6 - "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day," tells us about the angels who left heaven with an instruction from God. Angels cannot operate beyond an instruction God has given them - as angels are attendants of God. The level of the angel shows the importance of the message; even the name of the angel is the identity of the assignment God has sent Him to deliver to you. Angel Michael (meaning who is like GOD) show us when victory has come . Daniel 10:13 - "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia."

3. THE BLESSINGS OF MAN - God blesses us so that we can be blessings to others, as men we must understand that when God blesses us, the cup that is filled is for us , the running over is for others, what is meant for GOD is not meant to invest, and what is meant for the poor you don't eat as humans our quest for answers cannot limit God from answering. Psalm 23:5-6 " Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."

The bible refers to two types of CHRISTIANS; some can be considered as GOATS and some can be considered as SHEEP. We are called sheep when we are blessings to one another: John 10:27-28 - "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." The GOATS are those who hear the word of God but refuse to be a blessing to others and Matthew 25:33 tells us "And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left." When was the last time you made someone comfortable at the expense of your own comfort ? No matter who or where you are in life the angel assigned to minister to you will always finds you when the time comes. Even when you are voiceless, your soul, the voice of the blood would speak for you. Matthew 25:41 - "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels"

Engage these prayers to invoke the Father's blessings:

Heavenly Father, as I begin to pray, Oh Lord, everything you have loaded in me to be a blessing to the church community; I ask for the grace to release it now in the name of Jesus !

Heavenly Father, as I begin to pray, Oh Lord, my role in this end time kingdom assignment; open my eyes to it in the name of Jesus !
